Josie was introduced to our family when she was 9 weeks old. She NEVER had an adjustment period! Josie came into the house and plopped herself down on the couch like she always knew that was her spot!! We realized real quick that she wanted your attention, and she was willing to do anything to get it! Even if it mean "bulldozing" over the other dogs!
The breeder I bought her from suggested that I show her... Yeah right, me??? I never thought that I would be interested ... sooo, Josie and I started taking some lessons. Josie LOVED it! She had so much fun... even I was having fun. Josie is the "professional", I am the "novice"! I am there because they need someone on the other end of the show lead...It's in the rules, believe me-I checked... I just try my best not to trip and goof HER up!
Josie is very sweet and loving, easily trained... showing, tricks, and obedience! She always seems to know what I am asking of her.
Take a look at her photos and see her growing up. It has been a WONDERFUL experience!!!
Check out where she comes from....Josie's mom Mink is owned and truly loved by June Greenwood at Kina Kabambe Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Josie's mom was never able to compete in Conformation shows due to an injury sustained while being attacked by another dog...but this most definitely did not interfere with Mink producing Champions!!! Mink has produced such healthy puppies with the greatest tempermeant....I had to go back for another!!! Check out Josie's half sister...Gracie--Josie's teaching her well!!!
Get more info on her Daddy "Gane" at Regiment Ridgebacksand take a look at his winning record!!! Her daddy finished in the show ring very quickly and went on to "burn up" the field while lure coursing...He truly has the passion for it !!!Gane is an attention getter too....At least Josie got it honest!!! Josie's awesome littermates are available to see there also!!! Gane is owned by Cammay Jones.
Josie and I have a very special bond...From the time she arrived off the plane until this very day--there is something that is understood only by a few that has witnessed it. Josie most definitely loves the rest of the family she calls her own...but she shows much more emotion when it comes to me. At times her attachment is very endearing AND there are other times it's most aggravating...LIKE when I drove 10 1/2 hours(one way) to take her to a professional handler just to realize that it would never happen, and when I found her "new boyfriend" for breeding--I left her for a rendevous...SHE WAS NOT HAVING ANY OF THAT...All Josie wanted was to be with me!!! The endearing part out weighs the aggravation by far...there is nothing like me coming home and seeing Josie "light" up and her whole body wiggle with happiness...
